We undertake literally hundreds of house moves every year and have the experience to handle anything you can throw at us. As soon as you’ve decided to move house, call us at South Devon Relocations on 01803 500510 (the sooner you call the better), even if you haven’t sold your house yet! One of our professional Move Consultants will then visit you at home (assuming you are local to us) and carry out a comprehensive survey of your household possessions, including all those items buried in the garage and the attic.
Armed with the results of your free moving house survey, we can then give you an accurate cost for your move and advise you on all the aspects involved, including packing and wrapping options for your most precious or delicate items. We ’ll even talk to you about our specialist services such as hiring of cleaners, decorators or gardeners and the various short or long term storage solutions if required.
Although every move is different, we’ve seen and overcome most problems. Our knowledge and experience is always available to you all of the time. So once you’ve got a date for the big day, contact us and we can make sure everything runs like clockwork.
With a dedicated team of movers specialising in the commercial relocation sector, South Devon Relocations can offer a first-class service that minimises disruption to your staff and day to day running of your company. Our team of professional movers will not only provide all the necessary resources and equipment, but we will also ensure that your move is a smooth and stress free transition from one office to the next. A project manager will also be assigned to your removal for your complete peace of mind for the duration of the moving process. Although a project manager isn’t necessary on all office moves it is reassuring to know that we can provide you with someone of suitable experience to manage and co-ordinate your move, should you feel it necessary.
Due to the complexity of commercial relocations, we do advise a notice period of at least 4 weeks, so all site visits and arrangements can be made. When doing a site visit, we are not there just to see what needs moving, we will assess the access to the building and check that we complying with all Health & Safety regulations too. After visiting the site, we will have a unique understanding of the potential challenges and obstacles that we face and your specific needs and concern, so if you do book a site visit, we can plan your office removal based on first hand knowledge of the site
We can provide you with the perfect solution for all your short or long term storage needs. We offer safe & secure storage facilities which not only gives you value for money, but flexibility and security too. Our storage containers are clean, dry and secure and range in size from the equivalent space of a broom cupboard right up to a space large enough to store the contents of a 5 bedroom house! Storage facilities are an excellent and essential choice if you want your excess belongings to be kept in a secure place, safely out of your way. Whether you find yourself between homes, your new property is not ready due to building/decorating work or you’re simply re-organising your personal life, using one of our storage containers allows you to store items for as long as you like, so if your possessions require safe keeping for a couple of weeks, months or even years, then we can help you.
Security is of paramount importance to us, which is the very reason why we use the storage facility that we do to store our customers belongings at. The site we use is like Fort Knox with access only obtainable through double electronic gates from only those issued with an electronically coded key fob. It is also monitored by 24 hour digital security cameras recording all movements, has high perimeter security fencing and flood lighting around the boundary of the site. There is also staff presence on site from 7:30am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday, and 7:30am to 12:00pm on Saturdays & Sundays.

A Range Of Services To Suit Any Requirements
Different customers, have different requirements when it comes to moving house. Some customer’s are happy to pack the contents of their own home themselves, leaving the furniture movers to simply arrive – load – then unload, but other’s do not have the time or inclination or even the capacity to pack. Having your belongings packed for you takes a massive amount of organisation and stress away from you – giving you the ‘peace of mind’ that your furniture and effects have been professionally packed by professional packers, which has significantly reduces the risk of damage, which may occur if not packed correctly. Once the packing service has been completed, the contents are then insured for the duration of your house move.
When a customer packs their own items, it is important that the packing has been completed prior to the furniture movers arrival, to ensure that there are no delays. If the house packing has not been completed and the customer is still packing, then when they realise the movers are working efficiently, sometimes we see customers rushing with the packing – which ultimately may result in poorly packed items which may get broken. With owner packed items, the contents of any packed boxes can not be insured – so if damage occurs then there can not be a claim made against the removal company.
Bronze – Part packing service
This is our most popular level of packing service, which not only keeps the cost down, but with you (the customer) packing all your non-breakable items (leaving only the delicate, fragile and valuable items to pack), disruption is minimal and peace of mind is guaranteed. The ‘Bronze’ packing service ensures that your possessions which may get damaged if not packed properly are packed by professional packers, reducing the risk of damage. Once packed, the contents of the packed boxes are then insured for the duration of the move.
Gold – Full packing and unpacking service
The ‘Gold’ packing service really eases the stress of moving house. We do everything as stated under the ‘Silver’ full packing removal service, but we also unpack for you too! Once everything has arrived at the destination and all your furniture set up in your room of choice we will then unpack every box and remove all the empty packaging boxes and debris. This service really is for ‘Premier Movers’, and by the time we leave, you will never know you have even moved
